SECONDS OF PLEASURE

Our 2nd CD, hence the "Seconds" in the title...if you disregard the obvious pun, was still rooted in the jam-based model of our first effort.  The road-seasoned core band remained the same but our 1st "keys man", Shane went on to other pursuits & we experimented with less rudimentary rocks & branches.  Among newer contributors, we added inspired input on several tracks by "Monster" guests from Eric Burdon's band...drum wiz, Mark Craney & guitarrorist, Dean Restum.  Going forward, we plundered the skills of Baxter Robertson & Gary Durrett, ex of Tree Frog as we dared to take bigger musical chances.  Eddie even suggested renaming the package "Truck Stop Sushi".  But in the end, we kept the seconds pun-name.  It was further etched in stone when my "artsy" son created the CD cover.  And George Thompson's solid bluesy licks helped make the title cut a thematic fave that just had to be added to the A&R when we published.  --BC
